When I first came to Morrinsville Intermediate I thought it was rather unfair that Yr 7's and Yr 8's did the inter-intermediate trials together. Year eights may have a slight advantage over year sevens when it comes to their sporting ability but many year sevens still get into the teams. At athletics the qualifying standards are higher for year eights than year sevens to get into the inter-intermediate teams, fair enough considering year eights are older.
I think it's fair that we compete against each other to get into inter intermediate sport because we want the best to compete in tournaments and we arnt going to get that if we have just year 7's. but in saying that we shouldnt have just year 8's cause who's there to say there isnt a year 7 who's better than a year 8. so if your up to the standard's then you make the team not because of your age because of your skill.
yes i think that this is fair. Because were all a similar age group any way.Its not exactly like were juniors at primary school versing college students.
I think Morrinsville Intermediate should have year sevens and eights mixed in inter intermediate teams because then we can learn how to co-operate together and the year sevens can learn of the year eights.
I think year 7s should notvs year 8s.Because then it would be fair with year 7s,and it would not be so hard.But then you might not be able to vs your mates,so yeah year 7s still should not vs year 8s.
I think it's good to have yr sevens and yr eights mixeds because the yr eights have more of an advantage but when the yr sevens become yr eights they will have the advantage.
